Weekend Roundup
Happy Monday!

How was your weekend? Did you get a chance to watch the Oscars and/or attend an Oscars party? Lauren and I hosted a small get together at our apartment with popcorn, cheese and crackers, and this really delicious cheese & bean dip that her friends made. Yum!
My favorite looks from the red carpet are:

Amy Adams & Jennifer Lawrence
Jessica Chastain & Jennifer Garner.
Who were your faves?
Other highlights from the weekend include:
-Finding out I won Keaton Row's latest styling challenge - a bridal styling challenge for a cocktail engagement party and a daytime, dressy-casual bridal shower. Check out my winning looks here on their blog!

-A 2 hour tour of The Met, featuring highlights of the museum, c/o Vayable. Although I visit the museum several times a year, I usually visit whatever exhibit I'm there for and then I tend to wander to the same areas that I like, so it was nice this time to get some backstory as well as explore new areas (have you ever been under the stairs?? And, as in love with mermaids as I am, this is the first time I spotted the one on the bottom left of the collage!)
-Afternoon tea at Alice's Tea Cup with my sister, and brainstorming business ideas and details...I'm excited for things to come!
-My first attempt at making a Roasted Garlic-Lentil Soup, which I'll do a lengthier post about later. (But it was delicious, and not TOO much work, perhaps because I prepped the ingredients the night before I made it.)
All in all, I had a great weekend! How was yours??

DeleteSounds like you had a great weekend! I was kind of underwhelmed by the red carpet but Jennifer Lawrence is so cute and I'm glad she won. I also loved Adele - she's just so talented!

Jennifer Lawrence was breathtaking in dior!!!
ReplyDeleteAgreed! She was adorable when she won her Oscar too!
DeleteAs an LA girl, the Oscars are a huge deal to me! I just love them. One of my faves was Stacy Keibler. I can't wait to read your post on how to make this soup because I recently bought a bag of lentils but have no idea how to prepare them and your soup looks delish. Congrats on the win and how cool to be a part of this stylist program. I had not heard of it but I will check it out.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah Stacy Keibler, she's stunning!
DeleteHaha - about lentils - I actually tried making them once and they were so gross (I probably didn't cook them properly) that I threw out the rest of the bag! So this time I ended up buying a new bag, and the soup is delicious!
Yes definitely check out Keaton Row! Tell me what you think! :)
Thank you so much for your comments! :)
