Dressing up for the 4th of July can either be really cheesy - all stripes and stars and flags...but it doesn't have to be. Just look at the first shot, or OP, Blair, and Cameron Diaz - all look lovely but not in a cheesy way at all. Add a red bag to OP's outfit, or swap out the neutral flats for a pair of red shoes and you've got the colors of the flag without actually looking like one! The 4th is also a great excuse to stock up on stripe-y basics - if you need an excuse, that is!

Below are some great options to add to your wardrobe:

1. Striped tank // 2. Striped shirt // 3. Striped dress // 4. Striped maxi // 5. Star necklace // 6. Soludos // 7. Tote // 8. Wristlet // 9. Sweater // 10. Bangle // 11. Bracelet

I would style this by choosing one article of clothing in either stripes or star prints, and pair it with something basic and simple like denim shorts (here w/star pockets!), white shorts (like these or these), a denim jacket/vest, or even a chambray shirt (like this or this) thrown over a tank top to keep it simple without looking overwhelmed with patterns. Plus, I love all the star jewelry!

  2. This is interesting, because I've always loved the blue, white and red colour combination, and it has nothing to do with any national flags :D (and there are tons with those three colours!). Spanish flag colours are more difficult to combine, and the outfit wouldn't be too glamourous, haha :D .
