One thing I love about living in New York is all the culture and the art scene. With the holidays quickly approaching, it reminds me of a few things I'd like to do in New York that I still have not gotten around to do. Well, there's really only one holiday-ish thing I'd like to do that I haven't done yet, but that thought triggered a few other things I'd like to do around the city at this time! Image via NYCB See The Nutcracker. I've seen both San Francisco and Hong Kong's ballet versions, but have yet...

Tee: Everlane // Skirt: Rag & Bone // Shoes: Marc Jacobs // Necklace: mark. // Clutch: Balenciaga (in black/yellow) // Sunglasses: Oliver Peoples One of the best things about being home is borrowing things from my mom's closet...like this skirt! She bought it at Intermix in New York when she was visiting Lauren and I before, and it's so gorgeous! It's so light and flowy, and the asymmetrical hem adds another little bit of intrigue. I wanted to let the skirt stand out in this outfit so kept it simple with a white crew neck tee and black...

I've had a one track mind lately...concerning apartments! All I've been doing after work this week is looking at apartments - I'm sick of being technically homeless, and need to move on with my life! Then, because of my really awesome fun jet lag, whenever I wake up I'm thinking about something to do with apartments. Sunday night was all the stress of figuring out how to move without an elevator, when to pack, how quickly we need a place, etc. Monday was all about which apartment to go after. And last night was all about where I...

Pic taken by me this morning Happy Monday! I'm bright and cheery right now, but I know that'll completely reverse this afternoon. Woke up at 2:30am and couldn't get back to sleep so at 6:30 I just decided to get up and get on with my day.  I'm not going to lie - I was pretty sad to leave Hong Kong and especially my friends & family (& Molly!), but it was such a good trip and I got to catch up with everyone important to me. Plus I had a blast and ate too much good...

via This year, I am thankful for: - Old friends - there's nothing quite like them, is there? A friend and I realized yesterday that we've been friends for 21 years. That's a whole legal drinking aged-person. In-sane! - Getting to celebrate at home. I am celebrating at home this for the first time in about 5 years - before I moved to New York! I've just set the table and am feeling quite festive, even though there's no parade here, nor is there Thanksgiving day football (my Niners aren't playing until Sunday anyway), but just having a big...

Top: Forever 21 // Pants: J Brand // Shoes: Giuseppe Zanotti // Earrings & Rings: My mother & grandmother's // Bracelet: Cartier // Bag: Maud Frizon Paris (My mother's) I'm really late into the whole peplum trend - I just never found one I really liked or that I thought was flattering on me. This one I happened to find at Forever 21 here in Hong Kong when I had to go shopping since it's too warm here to really wear the clothes I brought! I love the mesh panel in front - even though it's mesh, it...

via Happy Monday!  I'm blogging on an East Coast schedule still even though it's Monday night for me. Isn't it true that for all vacations they just seem to fly by? My week has suddenly filled right up and it feels like my holiday is already over. Not only that, but my mindset is completely suspended from reality right now - sis and I have yet to take any photos for the week, as we've been too busy planning all our meals and seeing friends and family and playing with Molly. Anywho - for those of you who...

Looking over the library and right into Kowloon side View towards Central, the main business district Low rise rooftops Molly! Pics via my Instagram Hello! Just wanted to do a quick post to say I arrived safely home this morning (well, Wednesday night NY time) after a flight that was far too long, but it's been so worth it so far! I've already seen most of the family, took Molly for a walk, had yummy home-cooked meals that I could never be bothered to make myself, and had a lovely, much-needed nap!  The time change and 16 hour...

Tee: Gap // Vest: unknown, from my mother // Bag: Chanel // Skirt: Milly (different color - on sale!) // Shoes: Zara Lauren and I thought we would try dusk/night-ish shots this weekend, and although we were really unsure of how they'd turn out, I think they turned out pretty cool! How holiday-like do they look?? If I were the type to send out holiday cards featuring myself by myself, I'd get them printed up with these photos. (Haha) This vest is one of my favorite cold(er)-weather pieces - my mom gave it to me a few years...

via Happy Monday friends! Hope you all had a lovely weekend - I know that last night I didn't want to go to sleep just because that meant the weekend was over. (Strange logic, but that's just how I felt!) Still, today the weather is gorgeous in New York and I get to wear a new dress with boots & no tights - that's my highlight of the day! This is a short week for me - I'm off to Hong Kong! So I apologize in advance for possibly some erratic posting while I'm traveling this week (whenever...

via my Instagram Happy Friday friends!  It really feels like winter is here - this morning as I was passing Central Park I realized snow was still sticking - I was under the impression that yesterday was so warm that it all melted! First snows are the best snows, I think. Except for maybe snow during the holidays. After that, I'm normally just ready for spring! Yesterday my sister and I found out our building will not be livable for 4 months...4 months! How insane is that? So now we have to deal with finding out if we...

Sweater: J. Crew // Shirt: Forever 21 (last seen here) // Jeans: J Brand // Boots: Steve Madden (similar) // Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim I snagged the last of this sweater (which also happened to be in my size!) at J. Crew this past weekend - the cooler winter weather has me reaching for my layers. I absolutely adore the little French hen with her jaunty little bright pink hat - too adorable to resist, really! Plus, the sweater is thin and warm which is exactly what I want. (I hate bulky winter layers.) Photos by Lauren, taken...

Blazer: Tinley Road (different color) // Top: Joie // Jeans: J Brand // Shoes: Zara I love the scalloped beading of this top - it makes me think of the 1920's and a little bit of Art Deco. Isn't it gorgeous? It'd be perfect dressed up for a holiday party, or like this for a night out.  Photos by Lauren ...

Sweater: mark. // Tank: Everlane // Necklace: mark. // Leggings: Theory (similar) // Booties: Rag & Bone // Clutch: J. Crew (similar) Brr! How chilly has it been lately? It's definitely getting closer to winter! I'm loving this sweater - I love the length, and the alpine style, and the tie-waist! Annnd I'm finally debuting my Rag & Bone Newbury booties! I love them so much - they're surprisingly comfortable, and easy to slip on and off with the back zip. What are you loving this fall? PS. Don't forget to VOTE today!! It'll be my first time...

via How was your weekend? I am thankful that I got plenty of rest! And Lauren and I managed to get some outfit shots in at Central Park and at the MoMA this weekend - can't wait to share them with you all!  Thank goodness today the traffic in midtown is back to normal - no longer gridlocked! They've opened up the streets that were blocked off because of the crane, and I think a lot of the trains are running now (although only 2 are going all the way downtown), so that helps ease the congestion! Did...

Image via Happy weekend, finally! Has this been the longest week ever, or what??  Still dealing with hurricane aftermath (now apparently it'll take a month for my building to be liveable once again), and just had to take care of little things like having my mail forwarded, finding a friend's place to hang out so I have wifi, etc. Still not fun, but I'm also reminding myself that it could have been much, much worse!  This weekend I plan on: Catching up on sleep - I've been sleeping so badly thanks to the stress of the whole situation...

Images via NYMag The past week has been a challenging time, to say the least. Lauren and I live downtown in Zone A, so at the last minute Sunday night decided to evacuate, and good thing we did - after we got to a friend's place, we received calls saying the building was going to shut down the elevators. Unfortunately, power went out Monday night at my friend's place (due to whatever happened to the 14th street substation/transformer/plant  - not totally sure which it is), so Tuesday morning we went over to midtown. Then the real nightmare began...
